The Ballroom Building was built around 1901 and was a popular ballroom offering four dance floors and two kitchens. Once called "The Miller Grand Ballroom" and also "The Grand Paradise Ballroom", it was a venue for the most popular musicians until the mid 1970's when it was sold and closed down. Tito Puente is said to have played the Ballroom so often that he bought a house nearby. During the 70's and 80's it laid empty. |
